ABC Bullion Coins
Buying gold platinum and silver coins is one of the most convenient ways to invest in precious metals
At ABC Bullion buys and sells a huge quantity of precious metal coins. We are also primary distributors of the Perth Mint and The Royal Australian Mint. This means we can secure direct allocations for our customers, and often get a discount for you.
What are precious metal coins?
Because precious metals like gold and silver are such good stores of wealth, they have been used to make coins for thousands of years.
This long tradition continues to this day, although for coins with a denomination, their face value has generally been exceeded by the value of the precious metal in the coin.
Some coins are pure gold, platinum or silver (99.99%, or "four nines") while other coins are made with alloys (mixing metals).

Buying gold and silver coins
If this is your first gold coin purchase, we recommend (if you can) that you pop into our showroom. That way, you can pick up and hold the different kinds of coin. We find people often have a favourite!
Of course, if you can’t make it in to our showroom, you can still make a selection from our extensive range of coins, and we can have them delivered to you anywhere in Australia at a very reasonable cost.
It’s important to know that in Australia, gold coins that are 99.99% pure and silver coins that are 99.9% pure are classed as bullion coins, and are therefore GST free.
However, not all of the world-famous precious metal coins are actually pure metal, and that’s why some coins attract GST, while others don’t.
If you need any help choosing the right gold, silver or platinum coin for you, just get in touch and we’ll answer any questions you might have.
