As an investment metal, silver is gaining rapidly in popularity. Silver is not as rare as gold, so it is worth less by weight. But like its yellow counterpart has a history as a store of wealth.

In many countries, silver coins (and later, coins containing silver in alloy) were the basis of currency. These days, the main investment units are pure silver coins or silver bullion to 99.9% purity (three nines).

Silver and gold often track each other in pricing trends over time, and the difference in price between gold and silver is known as the gold/silver ratio.

In practical terms, ABC Bullion investors love investing in bullion because its relatively low price per gram means that it is the most accessible of the precious metals.

All Physical 15kg and 30kg silver bars range in final weight, with a variance of "plus or minus" approximately 2.5kg.  This is the global industry standard for silver due to the relatively bulky nature of the metal.  For example, three successive 15kg bars in the vault could weigh 15.3kg, 13.5kg and 16.5kg respectively.

If you hold vaulted allocated metal (owned bars), then decide to sell back to ABC Bullion, we will adjust for actual differences from the full 15kg (in cash or smaller bars).  Bulk secure (allocated) silver is invested using exact 15kg amounts at all times.

So you can rest assured your effective investment exposure is precisely 15kg or 30kg. (If you are looking for precision weights in an allocated bar, we recommend purchasing 1kg Silver bars, which are precisely weighed.)
